Brock Wesley Curtis
Brock did a lot of living in his short 24 years, passing away January 12, 2021. He was a terrific athlete, an avid Buffalo Bills fan and he enjoyed creative writing and poetry. He was passionate about truly engaging with people from different cultures. He traveled and lived in numerous locations, spending time on five continents. Two of his favorite trips were to West Africa and to Seoul, Korea.
He was diagnosed with Bipolar I approximately 3 years prior to his passing away. Even with good health insurance, and a caring educated family, it took too long to get the right services he needed. The Tallman-Curtis Family Foundation, Inc. was started to honor Brock by helping others.
Things need to change. Remember... Brocky loves you.
About Our Name and Logo
4TeamBrock: We want to focus on Brock Wesley Curtis and his legacy. Brock is (we often use present tense as we can feel him with us) one of four children. We are doing this "4" Brock and with Brock in mind. He was a part of many teams and we want to have those that follow and/or support us to feel part of a team.
Our Logo: Thank you, Carol, for capturing a perfect logo. The logo is colorful to represent the beauty in everyone. It's in the shape of a heart to share the love he gave. He loved the outdoors, so the mountain represents the hikes we did together and hikes we continue to do with him in mind. The trail indicates life is not a straight path and challenges are faced , they sometimes take us down a winding road. The sun peaking out in the background is a symbol of the hope we all need. With support, medication and exercise the individual emerges with strength, confidence and growth.
Our Team
We are Brock's family. We loved and still love Brock. He had an amazing life, and at times in his last few years, a very stressful and difficult one.
At the top is Brock- the youngest, still looking over all of us.
